Description
The birthplace of countless academic, political, scientific and religious movements, what better place than Oxford for an escape game-style tour! Dive headlong into the city's tumultous past, scouring its narrow alleys and bustling streets for curiousities, solving clues and unlocking tales seldom told. Which terrible lizard left its mark on the city? What grim fate befell Oxford's imprisoned? Who were the martyrs of the reformation and what became of them? The answers to these questions and so much more awaits!
Along the way expect to see: the remains of the Norman castle, the Houses of Correction, a host of historic and architecturally intriguing buildings, a link to the Jurassic Age and an 18th century covered market. All this plus riddles, challenges, great pubs and cafes and plenty of surprises. This interactive twist on a walking tour is perfect for those fascinated by revolutions past and present and the marks left by them.
How It Works
Your team will receive clues on your phones that, once deciphered, will guide you to interesting and scenic parts of the city. At each of these you will solve riddles, discover facts and unlock your next clue.The route is walking distance and features optional breaks at great pubs, bars and cafes along the way. The clues require no prior knowledge and come with hints to make the experience something everyone can enjoy.
