The Macbeth Afternoon Tea is a feast fit for a king – or a king to be – with traditional Scottish flavours from haggis quiche tartlets, Scottish beef brioche navettes, and Tonka bean cremeux-filled lollipops topped with chocolate daggers. It was created by the design collective Luna & Curious, and has quirks like hiding its menus in vintage books and using crockery decorated with the tale’s characters.

Priced at £48-£65 per person, this themed afternoon tea promises Tweedle Brothers Choux Pastry, Queen of Hearts jammy dodgers, and Caterpillar Swirl with brown shrimps. There are also lots of cakes on offer, including the White Rabbit Carrot & Plant Pot and the White Queen Minions Macaroon. They can also prepare the food for a vegan preference and cater to other dietary requirements.

Hosted in a quirky speakeasy bar in London, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes has its own themed afternoon tea spot at the Mind Palace. There are two themes on offer at Mind Palace from mind-blowing mini mysteries to boozy alternatives and prices range from £39 to £49 per person.

The tea challenges guests to solve a mystery while enjoying themed treats like Elementary, My Dear Scone and Baker Street Brownies, with options available for vegetarians, vegans, halal, and gluten-free diners.
