Description
A puzzle-filled exploration of the many quirks and historical treats York has hiding on every corner. Which Viking warrior inspired a famous nursery rhyme? How many Roman emperor's met their end in York? What comically named street is reputed to be one of the shortest in England? The answers to these and more await in Quirks and Snickets!
Along the way expect to find: Roman ruins, a historic city gate, the Medieval Barley Hall, an elegant 18th century townhouse and the world famous Shambles. All this plus puzzles, great cafes and pubs, and plenty of surprises. An ideal trail for locals, visitors and anyone looking to uncover the secrets lurking in York's iconic streets.
