Where is Marshall Beach?

The beach stretches from the Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point National Historic Site, all the way south to North Baker Beach. It is situated at the base of a steep cliff, which provides a dramatic backdrop and offers panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands.

The beach itself is small and rocky, a mix of sand and pebbles. It is not suitable for swimming, but it is a popular spot for sunbathing (nude or otherwise), picnics, and scenic walks. At high tide the beach is fully submerged so be sure to check the tide tables ahead of your trip.
