Description

An ancient city with a centuries old association with mysticism and druidic culture, what better place for a riddle-filled tour! This cryptic exploration of Bath takes you back to its origins as a Roman town built around healing waters through the dark ages and into the modern day. Along the way it introduces you to some of the colourful characters from its past including a pig farmer turned king and a pair of prominent architects obsessed with the occult.

Expect to see artefacts stolen from Napoleon, streets designed to mirror the sun, moon and stars, mysterious symbols, a place of cinematic invention, the Roman baths and the famous Bath Abbey. All this plus puzzles, challenges, great pubs and cafes and plenty of surprises. This escape game-style tour immerses you in the city and its history like nothing before, a great way to delve into Bath's enigmatic depths.

How It Works

Your team will receive clues on your phones that, once deciphered, will guide you to interesting and scenic parts of the city. At each of these you will solve riddles, discover facts and unlock your next clue.

The route is walking distance and features optional breaks at great pubs, bars and cafes along the way. The clues require no prior knowledge and come with hints to make the experience something everyone can enjoy.

Optional rest-stops include:

-A no-nonsense pub with local guest beers and live music
-A funky cafe with food created using sustainable ingredients.
-An upscale haunt with a wide-range of whiskeys and imaginative cocktails.
-A world famous tea room .
